BLOGGING HEAVEN -

So I finally ventured out to re-create my blog. Oh my goodness - the options! What a blast though. I can't wait to continue the blog action...so, now seems like

just a good a time as any -

Hello Wyoming! We hit Wyoming, Ohio yesterday for Episode 4 of LX - and admittedly, what a surprise. This is such a unique neighborhood.

With a Main Street atmosphere like Bellevue and a neighborhood feel of Mt. Carmel, but with great historical preservation. Just from our conversations off the mic, you can tell this community stands together, and strong. We had a great time chatting with Penny and Britt about not only the Farmer's Market (which we will be hitting up frequently whence spring hits the Nati) but also about the public school system in this quant town. I won't dive into too many details, but I can say - these are surely parents and neighbors that care greatly about a well rounded, supported education - I was impressed!

So the people are great - but the food is even better. The vendors/restaurants really concentrate on quality food and excellent customer service. From custom roasted coffee beans to a dog watering hole hooked into the plumbing of the building to a menu even catering to my vegetarian family. Love it!

Then we moved into the culture - we chatted with Inez of ART: Art Resource Team and my personal fave - Milan from the Wyoming Fine Arts Center. Soren, I hope you're ready - because we will be hanging out there in the near future... ALOT.

So I guess you can see, I was quite pleased...more than pleased...I mean - totally ecstatic about this great new find for me, my family and the rest of this Great Queen City!

Kudos Cincinnati!

Local Exposure - Episode 3 iTunes!

Mr. Nolan and I have just released our third episode on Mt. Carmel - me, the skeptic, didn't think this podcast was going to make it through production, but Nolan proved me wrong. I think this episode really reveals the true heart of Cincinnati. No matter what hood we travel too, we are always left with the a home-sweet-home sigh of reverie. Enjoy and let us know what you think - it's the only way we can make the show better. REMEMBER - the emphasis in Public Radio is - PUBLIC. We work for you - the people. Let US be there for YOU!!

Happy New Year! Chels

AMERICAN AND BALTIC PORTRAITS PAVE THE WAY!

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra is charting it's own path - with not only great live tunage, but recorded live tunes and not only that, but on It's own label!!! I am so excited to be part of this process. The Baltic Portraits came together swiftly as it's predecessor American Portraits did. Check it out -

I have had a blast recording the CSO for almost 6 years - and getting to release some of there stellar recordings is a dream come true. We also compiled the CSO's commissioned fanfares for release via the web and free downloads in collaboration with Cincinnati Public Radio! Don't forget to check those out too!
